King George VI Avenue - Arboretum - Sutton Rd / The Crescent Entrance

The Hawthorn trees along the avenue are in the process of being removed. The reason for this is because they have come to the end of their useful life.

They will shortly be replaced by a special celebratory planting of 60 Sweet Chestnut trees to commemorate the Queen's Diamond Jubilee.
