National Tree Week - ARBORETUM TREE Planting Event

Can you spare some time between 11am and 2pm on Saturday 26th November to join other volunteers in planting 1,200 trees (whips) donated by the Woodland Trust, in the Arboretum Extension?

Access to the site is via the Car Park situated at the Sutton Road/The Crescent junction. The planting site will be signposted.

Please bring your wellies and a spade if possible.

This is your chance to do your bit to celebrate National Tree Week and to help make Walsall a GREENER PLACE.

Live 'n' Deadly

The Woodland Garden was subjected to a thorough investigation by 'amateur detectives' from 2 local primary schools. Pupils from Chuckery and Butts Schools took part in the BBC CBBC's Live 'n' Deadly event where they followed a trail of clues to reveal the perpetrator of an 'incident' in the world of nature.

The experience was so successful that it was repeated for family groups on Saturday 29th October and was well attended and enjoyed by all. We intend to repeat this event in the Spring/Summer 2012!

Checking the evidence - are we correct?

Case solved - Certificates awarded.
